DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Oct. 29, 2022) – Powered by two saves from freshman Kamy Anaya, the No. 20 Mercy College women's soccer team earned a 0-0 draw against ECC foe Roberts Wesleyan University on Senior Day and in a Breast Cancer Awareness Game on Saturday afternoon at Mercy Field to secure the program's first-ever outright ECC Regular Season Championship.

The Mavericks have secured the top seed in next week's ECC Championship for the first time and will host No. 4 seed Daemen University in a Semifinal matchup on Wednesday, November 2nd at 2:30 p.m. at Mercy Field. The Redhawks (11-3-1, 5-2-1 ECC) earn the No. 3 seed in the ECC Championship with the draw and will play at No. 2 seed Molloy in the other Semifinal on Wednesday.

Dixon and Cooper both forced Knauf to make a save in the first 21 minutes of action, but the game remained scoreless. The Mercy backline would not surrender a shot on goal in the first half and the two teams headed into halftime scoreless.

Anaya made her first save in the 52nd minute and another in the 65th minute to keep the game scoreless. Rosa forced Knauf to make a tough save in the upper right corner of the net, but Knauf was up to the challenge to keep the game at 0-0.
