UDC scored the next seven points to retake the lead at 13-11 at the 2:45 mark. Three straight baskets from Stanavich, Tedesco and Barrera put the Mavericks back in front 17-13 with 1:42 on the clock. A pair of Destiny Ryles free throws made it 17-15 before back-to-back layups from Tedesco and Stanavich gave Mercy a 21-15 lead after the first quarter.
