AMHERST, N.Y. (Mar. 11, 2024) – Mercy University women's basketball junior Jaclyn Stanavich (Amsterdam, N.Y./Amsterdam) and graduate student Katie Wall (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team.
The duo helped lead the Mavericks to a come-from-behind win over St. Thomas Aquinas in the Semifinals on Saturday, giving Mercy their first-ever appearance in the Final.
Stanavich averaged a team-high 18.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game during the championship with 3.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game. The junior scored a game-high and career-high-tying 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting with six rebounds and two steals in Mercy's 59-48 win over St. Thomas Aquinas in the Semifinals on Saturday. Stanavich ended the championship with 11 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists in the Final against Daemen on Sunday.
Wall recorded 15.0 points per game with 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.5 assists per game. The graduate student produced 15 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists in the Semifinal win over St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday. The guard then recorded 15 points, four steals, three rebounds and one assist in the Final at Daemen on Sunday.
