Women's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Schedule; Includes 12 Home Games

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Women's Basketball Team has announced its 2025-26 regular season schedule. The Mavericks look to qualify for the ECC Championship for the sixth straight season and the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons under Head Coach Scott Lagas, entering the season with 12 home games.

The Mavericks open their 2025-26 season on Monday, November 3rd when they play an Exhibition at Division I Iona. Mercy begins their regular season schedule on Saturday, November 15th when they face Bentley at Southern Connecticut State University. The Mavericks then play at Southern Connecticut on November 16th.

Mercy returns home on November 19th for their home opener against Adelphi. The Mavericks then play at Pace on November 22nd before playing at Division I Sacred Heart on November 25th. Mercy ends the month of November playing at Assumption on November 30th.

Lagas and the Mavericks play at Staten Island in their ECC opener on December 3rd before hosting three straight home games against District of Columbia (Dec. 6), Daemen (Dec. 12) and D'Youville (Dec. 14). Mercy heads to Florida where they will face Southern New Hampshire on December 19th at Florida Tech. The Mavericks conclude their stay in the Sunshine State playing at Florida Tech on December 21st. Mercy ends the 2025 portion of their schedule playing at Goldey-Beacom on December 31st.

The Mavericks begin the New Year hosting Bloomfield (Jan. 5) and Dominican (Jan. 8) before playing at Roberts Wesleyan (Jan. 11) and District of Columbia (Jan. 14). Mercy returns home to face Staten Island (Jan. 17) and Queens (Jan. 21) before ending the month at Molloy (Jan. 24) and St. Thomas Aquinas (Jan. 31).

Mercy hosts Felician on February 5th to start the month of February. The Mavericks host Roberts Wesleyan on February 8th before playing at Daemen (Feb. 13), D'Youville (Feb. 15) and Queens (Feb. 18).

Lagas and Mercy end the regular season hosting Molloy (Feb. 22) and St. Thomas Aquinas (Feb. 28).

The First Round of the ECC Championship will take place on March 4th followed by the semifinals on March 7th and the final on March 8th. The higher seeds will host in the first round and the semifinals and final will be played at the highest seed.
