NCAA Tournament Bound!! Volleyball Earns No. 3 Seed and Will Play No. 6 Seed Molloy at Bentley on December 4th

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Volleyball Team has received the program's eighth-ever bid into the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship. The Mavericks earned the No. 3 seed in the East Region by virtue of going 20-4, winning their first ECC Championship since 2001. Mercy has earned their third straight NCAA Tournament berth. All matches for the East Region will take place at top-seeded Bentley University.

Mercy will now face No. 6 seed Molloy University in a First Round matchup on Thursday, December 4th at Bentley University at 11 a.m. The Mavericks have won all three previous meetings against the Lions this season, including a 3-0 win in the ECC Championship Final on Saturday.

The Mavericks are making their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Mercy looks to win their first NCAA Tournament match since 2023. The Mavericks advanced to the National Quarterfinals in 2001. Mercy has their most wins since 2005 and won their first ECC Championship since 2001. ECC Coach of the Year Ana Todorovic and the Mavericks have been led by ECC Player of the Year senior Gabriela Bieniek, ECC Setter of the Year junior Adriana Rivera Rodriguez, ECC Championship Most Outstanding Player sophomore Grace Dilena and Second Team All-ECC honoree junior Mia Illes-Hair.
