COLONIA, N.J. (Feb. 3, 2025) – Mercy University women's basketball junior Angelina Barrera (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) and sophomore Amani Abuhatab (West Haven, Conn./West Haven) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Honor Roll for Week 12.

Barrera had a game-high 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting with a team-high eight rebounds and five assists to go with two steals in the Mavericks' win over Roberts Wesleyan on Friday. The junior helped lead a Mercy defense that allowed their fewest points (29) in an ECC game in program history.

Abuhatab had 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting with six rebounds and a game-high five steals in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on Friday.

The award is the ninth for Barrera this season and the fourth for Abuhatab. Mercy has now earned 26 awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, February 7th when they host D'Youville at 5 p.m.
