COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Women's Basketball senior Angelina Barrera (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for Week Seven and junior Grace Lesko (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) has been tabbed to the Honor Roll.

Barrera had 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds and a game-high four blocks to go with two steals and three assists in Mercy's 69-52 win at Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday.

Lesko had a game-high 21 points and 11 rebounds on 6-of-13 shooting with two assists and one steal in Mercy's 69-52 win at Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday.

The award is the first for Barrera this season and the ninth for Lesko. Mercy has now earned 13 awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action tonight when they host Bloomfield at 5:30 p.m.
