DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Athletic Department continued to excel in the classroom during the spring 2026 semester, ending the semester with a program-best 3.60 cumulative GPA.

The 3.60 GPA comes after the department posted a 3.57 cumulative GPA in the fall 2025 semester. The previous highest GPA set by the department was a 3.59 GPA during the spring 2025 semester. It marks the 25th straight semester that the department posted above a 3.0 cumulative GPA. All 10 teams posted above a 3.0 GPA. The success in the classroom translated to a school-record 54 student-athletes recording a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester and 180 student-athletes recording a 3.5 GPA or higher during the spring semester. Currently 207 student-athletes have above a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

The women's basketball team recorded the highest GPA for spring 2026, checking in at 3.83. The men's soccer team had the highest GPA out of male teams with a 3.71 GPA.
