DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Women's Soccer Team is ranked No. 9 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Mavericks are also ranked No. 1 in the East Region Poll.

Mercy moves up 16 spots in the poll after going 2-0 to open the season last week. The Mavericks earned a 2-0 win at Edinboro on Thursday and a 4-2 win over Goldey-Beacom on Sunday. Mercy has been led by junior Hailey Metzger who has a team-high five points on two goals and an assist and by freshman Roslyn Almodovar who has a goal and one assist. The Mavericks are the lone ECC school in the poll.

Head Coach Jack Nicholson and the Mavericks resume action tomorrow when they play at Chestnut Hill at 7 p.m.
