COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Women's Soccer freshman Astrid Borglund (Stockholm, Sweden/Hersby Gymnasium) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Week Four and freshman Connor Leahy (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) and sophomore Casey Szczotka (Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck) have been tabbed to the Honor Roll.

Borglund recorded her first career hat trick and scored the game-winning goal in Mercy's 7-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday. The freshman scored three goals in just 48 minutes of play and on five shots.

Leahy scored her first two collegiate goals and added an assist in Mercy's 7-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday.

Szczotka had an assist in the Mavericks' 7-0 win over STAC on Saturday and helped lead a Mercy backline that did not surrender a shot to the Spartans.

The awards are the first for all three this season. Mercy has now earned eight awards on the year.

Head Coach Jack Nicholson and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday when they play at Southern N.H. at 3 p.m.
