DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Men's Soccer Team is ranked No. 23 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Mavericks are also ranked No. 3 in the East Region Poll.
Mercy enters the poll national poll for the first time this season and moves up one spot in the regional poll. The Mavericks went 1-0-1 last week with a 0-0 draw at Wilmington and a 2-1 win at Daemen. Mercy has been led by senior Jacob Darwesh Lund-Iversen who has a team-high 23 points on a team-high 10 goals and three assists and by senior John Hollis who has a team-high seven assists with three goals and 13 points. Mercy is the lone ECC school in the national poll.
Head Coach Pedro Velazquez and the Mavericks resume action on Saturday when they host Roberts Wesleyan at 12 p.m.
