2012: Appeared in 10 games, making two starts…led the team with a 1.000 shot-on-goal percentage and .667 shooting percentage…ranked fourth on the team with eight goals…scored one man-up goal…scored one man-down goal…grabbed one ground ball…caused one turnover…scored two goals each vs. Lake Erie (March 24) and at Molloy (March 28)…picked up his ground ball at St. Michael’s on March 6…caused his lone turnover vs. Dowling on April 28.

Prior to Mercy: Transferred from Onondaga Community College...won the 2010 NJCAA National Championship at Onondaga...also attended Cayuga Community College for one year, where he recorded 37 goals and 23 assists and was named First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region...a four-year starter in high school...named First Team All-League three years...recorded over 115 goals, including 56 in his senior year, and over 30 assists...named First Team All-League as a running back in football as well...holds school single-season rushing record (1,104 yards) in Class B...also a two-year captain, two-time First Team All-League and Honorable Mention All-State goaltender in hockey.

Personal: Son of Joe and Leslie Poppe...has one sister, Jess (24)...majoring in history.
