"Baylee has been with us for four years and is coming off her best season as a Maverick. Throughout her career here, she played an instrumental role as a team leader. She contributed both offensively and defensively, as we broke the 30 win mark for two consecutive seasons. I look forward to working with her as she helps our catchers and pitchers develop. We will rely on her for the experience and leadership she can provide to a younger, and somewhat a less experienced team this year," Fazio said.
"Four years have gone by so quick! I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to continue to be part of Mercy Softball while furthering my education. All aspects of this program have played a big role in molding me into the person I am today. I'm so excited to take on this new role. I hope to give back to the girls what I got in my years as a Maverick. The 2019 Mavericks are more than capable of upholding the winning culture that has been established here at Mercy. I'm so excited to see what this season has in store for the Mavs," McCormick said.
