Lemus ended her Mercy career with a .401 average, 16 home runs, 81 RBI, 122 hits and 69 runs scored in 96 games. Lemus also produced in the classroom having been named to the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll twice for having above a 3.25 GPA and was tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District during her senior year.

"Skania in two short years, has been among the top players here in program history. She has been a leader on and off the field and we are thrilled she decided to remain with the program to complete her MBA. A team player from her first day with us, she was all about doing her job on the field and at the plate. Her experience here was primarily at 3B and 2B, but she could excel almost anywhere on the field and played a key role for us reaching the ECC tournament for the last two seasons. She has the respect of all her former teammates and I am delighted she will be part of our coaching staff," commented Fazio.

"I really enjoyed coaching this team during the preseason because they grew individually and as a team. I am excited to see how they will transform their preparation and team chemistry into a winning and of course fun season! In my two years as a Maverick I got butterflies every time I put on my jersey, stepped on the field, and watched our pitcher throw the first pitch and I am delighted to pass down that experience to the newcomers. It is an honor to coach this year's Lady Mavericks team/family and I wish them all the best with this seasons endeavors," stated Lemus.

Lemus will work primarily with the outfielders and hitters and will also be responsible for monitoring class attendance, monitoring academic progress and conducting team study hall.
