Mercy University Athletics

Brandemarte had a strong month of April for Mercy, helping lead the Mavericks to their fifth straight ECC Championship berth. The senior went 7-3 with a 1.38 ERA, one save, 10 complete games and 33 strikeouts in 71.0 innings pitched. The one-time ECC Pitcher of the Week during the month tossed a complete game shutout with four strikeouts in the win over Dominican on April 10th. The pitcher then tossed a complete game with one run allowed and six strikeouts to earn the win at Queens on April 17th. Brandemarte allowed one run with four strikeouts, including her 300th career strikeout, to earn the win over D’Youville on April 19th. The ECC Co-Pitcher of the Year then pitched a complete game shutout in the win over Molloy on April 21st before tossing a one-hit shutout at Molloy on April 25th.
