Gonzalez had a strong month of September for the Mavericks, leading the team with 210 digs and 4.67 digs per set. The one-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week during the month recorded 20 or more digs in five matches and finished with double-digit digs in ten matches. The senior had her first double-digit dig match on September 7th when she produced 17 digs. Gonzalez later finished with 21 digs in Mercy’s win over Queens on September 21st in the first match at the newly renovated Victory Gym. The libero concluded the month with three straight 20-plus dig outings. Gonzalez finished with 24 digs in Mercy’s first win over NYIT since 2005 on September 29th and ended the month with 27 digs against Pace and 22 digs at Felician on September 30th. The senior is now ranked fourth in the ECC in digs (237) and digs per set (4.16).
