Umano had a strong month of March for the Mavericks, going 3-0 with 27 saves, a .659 save percentage and 6.32 goals-against average. The one-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week during the month opened the month with four saves in the first half of the Mavericks win over RV Lake Erie on March 1st. The sophomore followed that up with 14 saves and was named to the USILA Division II Team of the Week after leading Mercy to a 9-6 win over No. 7 Pace on March 7th. Umano closed out the month and season with nine saves and just four goals allowed in 42:58 minutes of action in Mercy’s overtime win over RV Bentley on March 10th.
