Murphy had a strong month of May in helping lead the Mavericks to their first ECC Championship berth since 2010. The graduate student hit a team-high .438 with a team-high two home runs and 10 RBI. The first baseman also had two doubles, four runs and a .591 on-base percentage. Murphy was named ECC Player of the Week once during the month and was tabbed First Team All-ECC. The graduate student opened the month going 3-for-4 with five RBI and a home run in the Mavericks win over Lincoln on May 1st. Murphy then went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a home run against nationally-ranked STAC on May 2nd. The first baseman capped off the month and his career by going 2-for-4 with two RBI at Molloy on May 8th.
