Rodriguez had a strong opening month of the season for the Mavericks, recording seven points on two goals and three assists as Mercy went 7-2-1 to open the season. Rodriguez helped lead the Mavericks to be ranked No. 22 in the nation and third in the East Region. The junior opened his Maverick career with a goal and an assist in Mercy’s 2-1 season-opening win at Saint Rose on August 25th. The midfielder then dished out two assists in the Mavericks 3-3 tie at Adelphi on August 31st. Rodriguez also added a goal in Mercy’s 2-0 win over Jefferson on September 14th.
