Shimborske opened her 2023 season on a high note in helping lead the Mavericks to a 1-1 record during the month of February and a top 15 national ranking. The sophomore opened the month with six caused turnovers, four draw controls and a goal in the win over Franklin Pierce on February 18th. The defender ended the month with four ground balls, five caused turnovers, three draw controls and a goal against nationally-ranked Le Moyne on February 25th. The three-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week concluded the month of February with two goals, four ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and seven draw controls.
