Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy is coming off a 2-1 loss to New Haven in their NE10 opener on Wednesday. The Mavericks were led by freshman Alyssa Sacco who recorded her first career goal. Freshman Katie Kreider also has a goal on the year and Sacco has also dished out an assist. Sophomore Lauren Viscione has been strong in net recording 29 saves in two games with just four goals allowed.
Scouting the Penmen
Southern N.H. is coming off back-to-back wins over Converse and Saint Michael's after opening the season with a double-overtime loss to Limestone. The Penmen have been led by freshman Lisa Hagel who has a team-high five goals and 13 points. Senior Laura van der Doorn has four goals and graduate student Melanie Rennie is 2-1 in goal with a .750 save percentage and nine saves.
