Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy is coming off a season in which they won the ECC Tournament Championship for the first time and now join the NE-10 for the 2019 season. The Mavericks return senior Sabrina Anderson who was third on the team last year with three goals. Juniors Brooke Anthony and Kellie Znaniecki and sophomore Briannagh Smith return after each recorded a goal last season. Senior Rebecca Podskoch also returns after scoring the game-winning goal in the ECC Tournament Championship Game win over Molloy and after recording two defensive saves last season. Seniors Samantha Lorenc and Catherine Brudi also return after playing in all 18 games last year.
Scouting the Lions
Lindenwood went 12-3 last season and just missed out on playing in the NCAA Tournament. The Lions return senior Bridget Hoogendijk who had a team-high 19 goals and 42 points last season. Also returning is senior Jessie Londono who was second on the team with 19 points on seven goals and five assists. Senior Mackenzie Litterst returns in goal after starting two games with 18 saves and a .857 save percentage. Lindenwood will face Adelphi on Friday before facing Mercy.
