Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy earned a 62-57 win over Queens in their last game on Saturday and is looking to sweep the season series with Bridgeport for the first time since 2000-01. The Mavericks are also looking to pick up their ninth win of the season which would be the most for the program since 2014-15. Mercy already has eight wins which is just the fourth season of eight or more wins for the program since 2000-01. The Mavericks lead the ECC in free throws made (398) and attempted (581). Mercy also leads the ECC in rebounds per game (40.2). The Mavericks are led by freshman Katie Wall who has been named ECC Rookie of the Week four times and is averaging a team-high 12.0 points per game with a team-high 2.9 assists per game. The guard is shooting 40.0 percent from downtown and is making a team-high 1.8 three-pointers per game. Junior Amber Brown is second on the team with 11.6 points per game and leads the team with 6.1 rebounds per game. Senior Abigail Collier is third on the team with 9.5 points per game and is shooting 48.5 percent from the floor.
Scouting the Purple Knights
Bridgeport is currently on a three-game losing streak and needs a win and District of Columbia loss to make the ECC Tournament. The Purple Knights are led by two-time ECC Rookie of the Week Gracen Kerr who averages 9.4 points per game and a team-high 4.0 assists per game. Senior Kyle Felton averages a team-high 9.8 points per game and a team-high 7.5 rebounds per game on a team-high 53.8 percent shooting. Junior Samirah Henderson ranks third on the team with 9.1 points per game and makes a team-high 1.4 three-pointers per game.
