Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the fall semester we'll be bringing you "Mav Spotlight" profiles of current Mercy student-athletes as we learn more about our athletes outside of their sport. Today we feature women's lacrosse junior Kayla Reese.

Quick Bio

Reese, a West Babylon, New York native, is in her junior year at Mercy, where she majors in Education. The junior has appeared in 14 games and has nine goals and seven assists. She appeared in all five games during the 2020 shortened season.

Getting to Know Kayla

Q: Who or what inspired you to play lacrosse?

A: My dad

Q: What is your favorite sport memory at Mercy College?

A: Winning the ECC's

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment on or off the field?

A: Making the Dean's List for two semesters.

Q: Do you have any pregame superstitions?

A: I normally braid a few of the girls' hair.

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

A: Pizza

Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

A: Telepathy

Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?

A: Harry Potter movies

Q: What is your major and what do you want to do with it?

A: Education, teach elementary special education.

Q: What do you hope to do when your playing days are over?

A: I hope to move out of New York and pursue my education career.

A: Hanging out with my friends

A: My housemates. We enjoy watching movies.
