DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Mar. 1, 2021) – The No. 5 seed Mercy College women's basketball team plays at No. 4 seed Molloy College in an ECC Women's Basketball Championship Play-in Game on Tuesday, March 2nd at 5 p.m. The winner of Tuesday's game will play at No. 1 seed Daemen on Thursday, March 4th.

Scouting the Mavericks
- Mercy enters the ECC Tournament as the No. 5 seed after going 1-7 during the regular season.
- Mercy is making their first appearance in the ECC Tournament since 2009 when they fell to Dowling in the Quarterfinals.
- Mercy was picked fifth in the ECC Preseason Coaches Poll in January.

- Freshman Jamie Waldron is averaging 11.0 points per game over her last three games and had a career-high 13 points and 18 rebounds at D'Youville on Saturday.
Scouting the Lions
- Molloy enters the ECC Tournament as the No. 4 seed after going 3-4 during the regular season.
- The Lions are making their second straight appearance in the ECC Tournament after reaching the Championship Game last year.
- Molloy was 22-9 last year and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament before the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.
- The Lions are looking to win their first ECC Championship since 2017 when they defeated New York Tech.
- Overall, Molloy has won three ECC Tournament Championships with all coming since 2008.
- The Lions are 3-1 at home this year and last played on Sunday at Roberts Wesleyan where they fell 62-53 in overtime.
