Mercy wasted little time in getting the bats going as Ortiz Sanchez singled and then stole second before being brought home by a Murphy double to right center to make it 1-0.

The Mavericks added two more runs in the top of the second to take a 3-0 lead. Dieguez and Ruiz singled and later scored on a two-run double by Ortiz Sanchez.

Lebron led off the top of the third with his first home run as a Maverick to make it 4-0. After a scoreless fourth inning, Mercy exploded for nine runs on six hits to increase their lead to 13-0. Lebron and Paulino led off the inning with singles and Glennerster then singled home Lebron to make it 5-0. Dieguez followed with an RBI single to left field, scoring Paulino to give the Mavericks a 6-0 lead. After a walk loaded the bases, Giblin and Ortiz Sanchez drew back-to-back bases loaded walks to give Mercy an 8-0 advantage. Murphy then smacked a grand slam to right center to put Mercy up 12-0. Glennerster brought home his second run of the inning on a double down the left field line that scored Paulino to make it 13-0.

Ortiz Sanchez doubled with two outs in the top of the sixth before Murphy brought him home with his record-breaking RBI single to right field, which put Mercy in front 14-0.

The Mavericks put together another big inning in the top of the seventh, plating eight runs to take a 22-0 lead. Rank got the scoring started with an RBI single to right field that scored Glennerster to make it 15-0. Giblin then singled home Jocelyn for the second run of the inning. Ortiz Sanchez followed with an RBI double to left field, scoring Rank. Lebron later brought home Giblin on an RBI single through the left side before Maravi capped off the scoring with a three-run home run to center field.

Burgio kept the Saints off the scoreboard for the first six innings and Miranda and Lantigua did the same in their three innings of works to secure the impressive win.
