CLEVELAND, Ohio (Aug. 3, 2021) – Mercy College Director of Athletics Matt Kilcullen Jr. is pleased to announce that the Mercy College Athletic Department had a school-record 75 of its student-athletes receive the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, as announced by the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association.
The Mavericks 75 recipients ranked second among the ECC schools receiving the honor. The second-place ranking among ECC schools is the highest in program history. A total of 16,164 student-athletes from 187 institutions were recognized for the 2020-21 Academic Achievement Awards.
To be eligible for the Academic Achievement Award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, completed two years of college study and have been a member of an intercollegiate team during his or her last academic year.
