NEW YORK, N.Y. (Feb. 7, 2022) – The Mercy College eSports team opened its 2022 East Coast Conference (ECC) League of Legends season with a 2-0 (2-31, 8-30) loss to defending champion New York Tech, 1-0, on Saturday night.

Mercy, 0-1, was led in game one by alpalzs (Alex Zumba) who had a team-high two kills.

The Mavericks improved in game two with all five players recording at least one kill. White Tea (Brian Wang) had a team-high three kills and alpalzs had two kills. Xallarisa (Celia Sturick), DãrkŚwòrdśmãn (Daniel Reyes) and TrishyTwasy (Patricia Kennedy) each added a kill.

Mercy resumes action on Friday, February 11th at 8 pm when they face Molloy, 1-0.
