Joe Corace to Remain at Mercy as Associate Head Coach for Men's and Women's Lacrosse Programs

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (July 6, 2022) – Mercy College Director of Athletics Matt Kilcullen Jr. is pleased to announce that Joe Corace will remain as the Associate Head Coach for both the men's and women's lacrosse programs.

"I am excited and looking forward to continuing my role as Associate Head Coach of the men's and women's lacrosse programs as we continue our ascension into a Division II power," stated Corace.

Corace joined the men's lacrosse coaching staff prior to the 2013 season and became a member of the women's lacrosse coaching staff prior to the 2017 campaign. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach for both programs on September 22, 2017.

"We are very happy that Coach Corace has decided to remain at Mercy as he does a terrific job for both our lacrosse programs and is a huge reason for their success," said Matt Kilcullen Jr. "As we start our search for a new men's head coach, Coach Corace will provide stability for the men's program during the process."

The resident of Mahopac, New York has helped lead the men's program to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, culminating in the program's first-ever National Championship Game appearance this past season. He has also helped lead the men's team to three straight ECC Championships. On the women's side, Corace has helped guide the Mavericks to four NCAA Tournament appearances and two ECC Championships. Both teams have been nationally ranked throughout his tenure on the sidelines.
