DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Jan. 10, 2023) - Mercy College women's basketball senior Katie Wall (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) has been named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Women's Basketball Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention for games played Jan. 2-8.

Wall averaged a team-high 16.3 points per game on 51.5 percent shooting to go along with 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game as Mercy went 3-0 on the week. The senior opened the week with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting with five rebounds and five steals in the win at Alliance on Monday. The guard then had 12 points, six rebounds and three assists in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on Friday. Wall ended the week with a game-high 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting with two assists in the win over Bloomfield on Sunday.

The award is the sixth earned by Wall this season and the Mavericks have earned nine awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday, January 11th when they play at STAC at 5:30 p.m.
