WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Nov. 13, 2023) – Mercy University women's basketball graduate student Katie Wall (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Week One.

Wall averaged a team-high 33.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists per game on 52.6 percent shooting as Mercy went 2-0 on the week with wins over Saint Anselm and regionally-ranked Southern Connecticut State. The senior opened the week with a game-high and career-high 40 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the floor and 12-of-14 shooting from the foul line with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win over Saint Anselm on Saturday. Wall ended the week with a game-high 26 points on 8-of-18 shooting with seven rebounds and three steals in Mercy's win over regionally-ranked Southern Connecticut State on Sunday.

The award is the first for both Wall and the Mavericks this season.
