Women's Basketball Ranked Program-Best 7th in D2CSC East Region Top 10 Poll

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Nov. 20, 2023) – The Mercy University women's basketball team is ranked a program-best seventh in the Division II College Sports Communicators (D2CSC) East Region Poll, as announced by the organization earlier today. The poll ranks the top 10 teams in the region each week.

The Mavericks move up three spots in the poll after going 2-0 last week with wins over Bloomfield and Adelphi. Mercy now has their highest ranking in program history in the poll dating back to the start of the poll in 2014-15. The Mavericks have been led by graduate student Katie Wall who leads the East Region with 24.5 points per game. Sophomore Angelina Barrera averages 9.0 points per game and junior Jaclyn Stanavich adds 8.5 points per game and a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action tomorrow when they host Bridgeport at 5 p.m.
