DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Dec. 12, 2023) – Mercy University women's basketball graduate student Katie Wall (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) has been named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention for games played Dec. 4-Dec. 10.

Wall averaged a team-high 16.5 points per game with a team-high 9.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The graduate student opened the week with 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds and eight assists in the win over Staten Island before ending the week with a team-high 22 points to go along with eight rebounds, six assists and four steals at UDC on Saturday.

The award is the fifth earned by Wall this season and the Mavericks have earned eight awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, December 15th when they play at Saint Leo at 5 p.m.
