COLONIA, N.J. (Oct. 21, 2024) – Mercy University women's soccer freshman Anneliese Becker (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week for Week Seven and senior Isabella Messina (Huntington Beach, Calif./Saddleback College) and junior Ancksu Dixon (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) have been tabbed to the Honor Roll.

Becker went 1-0-1 in goal with two shutouts and six saves. The freshman opened the week with one save to earn the shutout win over Dominican on Wednesday. The goalkeeper ended the week with five saves to preserve the shutout in Mercy's 0-0 draw against Jefferson on Saturday.

Messina scored a goal in Mercy's 4-0 win over Dominican on Wednesday and helped lead a Mercy backline that did not surrender a goal in two games this week against Dominican and regionally-ranked Jefferson.

Dixon scored the game-winning goal and had an assist in Mercy's 4-0 win over Dominican on Wednesday.

The award is the fifth for Becker this season, the second for Messina and the fifth for Dixon. Mercy has now earned 21 awards on the year.

Head Coach Jack Nicholson and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday when they host Queens at 1 p.m.
