DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Feb. 12, 2024) – The Mercy University women's basketball team is receiving votes in the latest Division II College Sports Communicators (D2CSC) East Region poll, as announced by the organization earlier today. The poll ranks the top 10 teams in the region each week.
The Mavericks receive votes for the second straight week. Mercy is currently 14-8 overall and 7-4 in ECC play and have won four games in a row. The Mavericks are coming off a 71-54 win over Roberts Wesleyan on Friday. Mercy has been led by graduate student Katie Wall who averages a team-high 16.8 points and 3.4 assists per game. Junior Jaclyn Stanavich posts 15.7 points per game and sophomore Angelina Barrera averages 10.6 points per game and a team-high 9.0 rebounds per game.
Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, February 16th when they play at D'Youville at 6 p.m.
