Stanavich and Wall Named to ECC Women's Basketball Honor Roll

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Feb. 20, 2024) – Mercy University women's basketball junior Jaclyn Stanavich (Amsterdam, N.Y./Amsterdam) and graduate student Katie Wall (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Honor Roll for Week 14.

Stanavich averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 assists per game as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The junior opened the week with eight points, 10 rebounds and two assists in the Mavericks first-ever win at D'Youville on Friday. The forward ended the week with a game-high-tying 20 points to go along with four rebounds, three blocks and one steal in Mercy's first win at first-place Daemen since 2016. Stanavich came up with a key block on a game-tying shot attempt in the final seconds that helped prevent the Wildcats from tying the game.

Wall averaged a team-high 16.0 points, 3.0 steals and 2.5 assists per game with 6.0 rebounds per game as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The graduate student opened the week with a game-high 29 points on 9-of-19 shooting with four rebounds, four steals and three assists in Mercy's first-ever win at D'Youville on Friday. The guard ended the week with three points, eight rebounds, two steals and two assists in Mercy's first win at first-place Daemen since 2016.

The award is the 10th for Stanavich this season and the ninth for Wall. Mercy has now earned 23 awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action tomorrow when they host Queens at 7 p.m.
