WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Feb. 5, 2024) – Mercy University women's basketball graduate student Katie Wall (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week and junior Jaclyn Stanavich (Amsterdam, N.Y./Amsterdam) has been tabbed to the Honor Roll for Week 12.

Wall averaged a team-high 22.0 points and 4.0 assists per game with 4.0 steals and 6.0 rebounds per game as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The graduate student opened the week with a team-high 21 points to go along with seven rebounds and three steals in the 69-60 overtime win at Queens on Wednesday; the guard scored the game-tying basket at the buzzer to force overtime. Wall ended the week with a game-high 23 points and seven assists to go along with five rebounds and five steals in the 73-47 win over Molloy on Saturday.

Stanavich averaged 18.5 points per game on 51.6 percent shooting with a team-high 5.0 steals per game as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The junior also averaged 3.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. The forward opened the week with 16 points, four steals, two assists and two rebounds in the 69-60 overtime win over Queens on Wednesday. Stanavich ended the week with 21 points on 10-of-15 shooting with a game-high six steals to go with two blocks, four rebounds and four assists in the 73-47 win over Molloy on Saturday.

The award is the seventh for Wall this season and the eighth for Stanavich. Wall is named ECC Player of the Week for the third time this season. Mercy has now earned 19 awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, February 9th when they host Roberts Wesleyan at 5 p.m.
