DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Feb. 5, 2024) – The Mercy University women's basketball team is receiving votes in the latest Division II College Sports Communicators (D2CSC) East Region Poll, as announced by the organization earlier today. The poll ranks the top 10 teams in the region each week.
The Mavericks receive votes after being ranked in the poll earlier in the season. Mercy is currently 13-8 overall and 6-4 in ECC play and have won three games in a row. The Mavericks are coming off wins over Queens and Molloy last week. Mercy has been led by graduate student Katie Wall who averages a team-high 16.7 points per game with a team-high 3.5 assists per game. Junior Jaclyn Stanavich nets 15.6 points per game and sophomore Angelina Barrera averages 10.6 points per game and a team-high 8.9 rebounds per game.
Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, February 9th when they host Roberts Wesleyan at 5 p.m.
