COLONIA, N.J. (July 22, 2024) – The East Coast Conference (ECC) has recognized a school-record five Mercy University teams and 175 student-athletes for their academic success. Volleyball, women's lacrosse, women's basketball, men's soccer, and men's lacrosse earned ECC Academic Team of Excellence, and a school-record 175 student-athletes were tabbed to the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Mercy men's soccer produced the highest cumulative GPA of all ECC men's soccer teams with a 3.76 GPA. Men's Soccer earns the Academic Team of Excellence award for the fifth straight time. Mercy women's lacrosse produced the highest cumulative GPA of all ECC women's lacrosse teams with a 3.69 GPA. Women's Lacrosse earns the award for the third time. Mercy men's lacrosse produced the highest cumulative GPA of all ECC men's lacrosse teams with a 3.34 GPA. Men's Lacrosse earns the award for the fifth time in program history. Mercy volleyball recorded the highest cumulative GPA of all ECC women's volleyball teams with a 3.77 GPA. Volleyball earns the award for the first time. Mercy women's basketball posted the highest cumulative GPA of all ECC women's basketball teams with a 3.65 GPA. Women's Basketball receives the honor for the first time. The athletic department has now earned 15 Academic Team of Excellence awards and the five this year are the most in a single year for the Mavericks.

Student-Athletes on the ECC Commissioner's Honor Roll must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher to be included. The 175 Mercy honorees are:
