DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Jan. 29, 2025) – Mercy University men's lacrosse junior Devon Duchnowski (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place) has been named USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Second Team All-American and sophomore Cameron Dorfman (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) has been tabbed All-American Honorable Mention.
Duchnowski was named USILA All-Region Honorable Mention last season after being named First Team All-ECC. The junior ended the 2024 season with 23 goals, eight assists and 31 points in 16 games. Duchnowski had a season-high four goals in the win over Georgian Court on February 27th.
Dorfman was tabbed USILA All-Region Honorable Mention a year ago after being named ECC Goalkeeper of the Year, Rookie of the Year and First Team All-ECC. The sophomore went 10-2 in goal with 132 saves, a .569 save percentage and 8.86 goals-against average in 12 games. The six-time ECC Rookie of the Week and three-time Defensive Player of the Week led the ECC in goals-against average and save percentage and was fifth in saves per game. Dorfman ended the season ranked in the top 10 nationally in goals-against average and save percentage.
Head Coach Ryan MacSpadyen and the Mavericks open their 2025 season on Saturday, February 15th at home against Franklin Pierce at 12 p.m.
