DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Women's Soccer Team is receiving votes nationally in the final United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 Poll.
The Mavericks ended the 2025 season 14-4-3, winning their first ECC Regular Season Championship since 2022. Mercy also qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022 and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022. The Mavericks ended the season with their most wins since 2022.
ECC Coach of the Year Jack Nicholson and the Mavericks were led by senior Ancksu Dixon who was named United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region, D2CCA Second Team All-Region and First Team All-ECC after recording 13 goals, five assists, and 31 points. Dixon led the team in goals and points. Freshman Casey Szczotka was named ECC Rookie of the Year, United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-Region and D2CCA Second Team All-Region after recording four goals and nine points, helping lead a Mercy backline that allowed just 19 goals in 21 games. Junior Sarah Lill Hanks was named ECC Defensive Player of the Year, United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region and D2CCA First Team All-Region after starting all 21 games with three assists. Sophomore Hailey Metzger earned United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region, D2CCA Second Team All-Region and Second Team All-ECC after recording nine goals, 12 assists and 30 points. Metzger led the team in assists and was second in goals and points. Freshman Camila Salvador was named United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-Region, D2CCA Second Team All-Region and First Team All-ECC after finishing with four goals, five assists, and 13 points.
