DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (May 30, 2025) – The Mercy University Athletic Department continued to excel in the classroom during the spring 2025 semester, ending the semester with a program-best 3.59 cumulative GPA.

The 3.59 GPA comes after the department posted a 3.58 cumulative GPA in the fall 2024 semester. The previous highest GPA set by the department was a 3.58 GPA during the fall 2024 semester. It marks the 23rd straight semester that the department posted above a 3.0 cumulative GPA. All 10 teams posted above a 3.0 GPA. The success in the classroom translated to a school-record 47 student-athletes recording a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester and 178 student-athletes out of 222 total student-athletes recording a 3.25 GPA or higher during the spring semester. Currently 183 student-athletes have above a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

The volleyball team recorded the highest GPA for spring 2025, checking in at 3.84. The men's soccer team had the highest GPA out of male teams with a 3.69 GPA.
