DOBBS FERRY, NY – Mercy University Athletics has officially partnered with FanWord, one of the leading AI technology and storytelling companies in college sports, to launch FanWord Assist across its department. The agreement equips Mercy with AI-powered tools to elevate the way its stories are told, giving coaches, student-athletes, and staff a streamlined solution to create compelling written content more efficiently.
With a focus on efficiency and impact, Mercy Athletics will use FanWord Assist to generate game recaps, feature stories, and player bios more efficiently, giving families, fans, and alumni a deeper connection to the Mavericks' journey.
"As we head into the new world of AI technology, it makes perfect sense for us to partner with FanWord as this platform will help tell our terrific story quicker, faster and with more efficiency!" stated Assistant Vice President of Athletics Matt Kilcullen Jr.
FanWord Assist blends AI technology with human oversight, empowering communication teams to produce more stories, more often, without losing voice or authenticity. The platform provides Mercy with tools to manage editorial output, all while keeping control in the hands of its users.
"Mercy is a standout program in the East Coast Conference, and we're honored to help support their storytelling efforts," said Chris Aumueller, CEO of FanWord. "Their commitment to student-athlete visibility is clear, and we're excited to see how FanWord Assist helps bring those stories to the forefront."
Mercy University joins more than 125 athletic organizations that have already partnered with FanWord Assist, including fellow DII programs like Roberts Wesleyan, UNC Pembroke, Minnesota State, and UT Dallas. FanWord is also partnered with the East Coast Conference.
