D2 ADA Recognizes School-Record 110 Student-Athletes with Academic Achievement Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio (Aug. 14, 2025) – Mercy University Assistant Vice President of Athletics Matt Kilcullen Jr. is pleased to announce that the Mercy University Athletic Department had a school-record 110 of its student-athletes receive the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, as announced by the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association.

The Mavericks' 110 recipients ranked second among the ECC schools receiving the honor. A total of 22,756 student-athletes from 202 institutions were recognized for the 2024-25 Academic Achievement Awards.

To be eligible for the Academic Achievement Award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, completed two years of college study and have been a member of the of an intercollegiate team during his or her last academic year.
