DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Softball Team has announced its 2026 regular season schedule, which includes nine home doubleheaders at Smith Field. The Mavericks will open their season on Saturday, February 28th at Bloomfield. Mercy will play 13 games against schools that qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2025. The Mavericks look to qualify for the ECC Championship for the sixth straight season.
Mercy opens their season with a doubleheader at Bloomfield on February 28th. The Mavericks will then head down to Melbourne, Florida where they will face Wayne State and 2025 NCAA Tournament participant Minnesota State on March 13th. Mercy then faces Post and Purdue Northwest on the 14th before facing Saint Anselm and Minot State on the 16th. The Mavericks conclude the trip against Saint Michael's and Ohio Dominican on March 17th.
The Mavericks return to New York and open ECC play with back-to-back home doubleheaders against St. Thomas Aquinas (Mar. 24) and D'Youville (Mar. 28). Mercy ends the month of March with home doubleheaders against Jefferson (Mar. 29) and 2025 NCAA Tournament participant Bridgeport (Mar. 31).
Head Coach Jaime Lorenzo and the Mavericks begin the month of April with ECC road doubleheaders at Molloy (Apr. 2) and Queens (Apr. 4). Mercy steps out of conference play for a pair of road doubleheaders at Pace (Apr. 7) and Caldwell (Apr. 8). The Mavericks resume ECC play with a home doubleheader against Staten Island on April 10th and celebrates Senior Day on April 12th against Holy Family.
Mercy then plays at St. Thomas Aquinas on April 14th and at Felician on April 16th. The Mavericks play a doubleheader at D'Youville on April 19th before hosting Post (Apr. 21), Queens (Apr. 24) and Molloy (Apr. 25). Mercy ends the regular season playing at Dominican (Apr. 27) and Staten Island (May 2).
The ECC Championship will take place on May 7-9 at the No. 1 seed.
