DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (May 27, 2025) – Mercy University senior Skylar Brandemarte (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Stonehill College), graduate student Mia Harris (West Harrison, N.Y./Harrison), junior Mackayla Secoda (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and sophomores Dylan Reyer (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) and Averi Miller (Las Vegas, Nev./Arbor View) have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Softball Team.
Brandemarte earns a spot on the All-District Team following her lone season as a Maverick. The senior holds a 3.91 GPA as a Biology major. The pitcher was named D2CCA First Team All-Region, NFCA Second Team All-Region, ECC Co-Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-ECC. In her first season in the conference after transferring in from Stonehill, Brandemarte topped the ECC with a 1.91 earned run average, going 13-9 overall (7-3 ECC) with just 41 earned runs and 90 strikeouts in 153.2 innings pitched. The Mercy lefty held opponents to a .256 batting average, the lowest among ECC pitchers. Across 20 ECC games, Brandemarte posted a 1.90 ERA, allowing just 19 earned runs in a conference-leading 70.0 innings pitch while also earning a pair of saves.
Harris is named Academic All-District for the second time in her career after previously earning the accolade in 2023. The outfielder holds a 3.88 GPA as a Communication Disorders major. Harris appeared in 39 games making 38 starts with 16 RBI, 12 runs, 24 hits seven doubles and seven stolen bases.
Secoda receives All-District honors for the second straight year. The junior has a 3.85 GPA as an English Education major. The one-time ECC Pitcher of the Week went 4-6 with a 4.09 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 65.0 innings pitched. Secoda recorded her 100th career strikeout during the season.
Reyer takes home All-District accolades for the first time. The sophomore has a 3.84 GPA as a Communication Studies major. The outfielder was named Second Team All-ECC after hitting .312 with 13 runs, 29 hits, seven RBI, three triples and eight stolen bases. Reyer ranked second on the team in average and triples, hitting .375 in ECC play.
Miller is tabbed All-District for the first time. The sophomore has a 3.80 GPA as a Criminology Forensic Investigations major. The shortstop hit .261 with 18 RBI, 23 runs, 37 hits, 11 doubles and six stolen bases. Miller was third on the team in RBI and second on the team in doubles, runs and hits.
