DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Women's Basketball junior Grace Lesko (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) has been named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention for games played Jan. 12-18.

Lesko averaged a team-high 16.0 points per game with 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The junior opened the week with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals in the win at UDC on Wednesday. The forward ended the week with 14 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal in the win over CSI on Saturday.

The award is the 13th for Lesko this season and Mercy has earned 20 awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday when they host Queens at 5 p.m.
