DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Men's Basketball sophomore Kohen Rowbatham (Slidell, La./University of New Orleans) has been named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention for games played Jan. 19-25.
Rowbatham averaged a team-high 22.5 points per game with 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in two games for the Mavericks. The guard opened the week with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting with seven rebounds, two steals and one assist against Queens on Wednesday. The sophomore ended the week with a team-high 24 points to go with eight rebounds and two assists at Molloy on Saturday.
The award is the 10th this season for Rowbatham and Mercy has now earned 19 awards on the year.
Head Coach Charles Marquardt and the Mavericks resume action on Saturday when they play at STAC at 3 p.m.
