COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Women's Basketball senior Angelina Barrera (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) and junior Grace Lesko (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Basketball Honor Roll for Week 12.
Barrera averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game on 76.9 percent shooting as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The senior opened the week with eight points, three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal against Felician on Thursday. The forward ended the week with a team-high 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday.
Lesko averaged a team-high 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game with 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The junior opened the week with 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals against Felician on Thursday. The forward ended the week with a double-double by way of 15 points and 11 rebounds to go with three assists, two steals and one block in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday.
The award is the sixth for Barrera this season and the 17th for Lesko. Mercy has now earned 28 awards on the year.
Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, February 13th when they play at Daemen at 5:30 p.m.
