DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Women's Basketball junior Grace Lesko (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) has been named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention for games played Jan. 26-Feb. 1.

Lesko scored a game-high and career-high-tying 30 points on 12-of-16 shooting with three rebounds, one assist and one steal as Mercy won their 10th straight game at St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday. She also had a basket with 4:07 left in the fourth quarter which gave the Mavericks the lead for good.

The award is the 16th for Lesko this season and Mercy has now earned 26 awards on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action on Thursday, February 5th when they host Felician at 5 p.m.
